The Fleur de lis symbol represents heraldry. It is used throughout Europe by the Royal families. Joan of Arc carried a banner with this symbol when she led the French to victory. The Catholic church uses it to symbolize the Virgin Mary & the 3 petals-the holy trinity. The French see the three petals as the medieval social classes-those who worked, those who fought & those who prayed.
